Hi, I'm Morris Sims. This is a short podcast. It's the first of several short podcasts that I'll share with you as we get ready to do a new thing. We're going to do a new course on sales. We'll talk about a number of things over the next few weeks and today it's just a quickie about why I'm doing this. So why are you doing what you do today? It's absolutely incredible the clarity that you can get from writing out your story. You know the why behind you do whatever it is that you do. I found it very, very helpful to me to even help me get even more clear about what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. So the practical part of this little short that you're going to hear today is to suggest that you write out why you do whatever it is that you do. It really helps you focus and it helps us all have more confidence to move forward. So here's my story.

I love to train adults and teach sales and business concepts. I know I'm not normal. Most people detest the idea of speaking in front of groups or teaching or being in front of a microphone or whatever. I love it. Many people find sales to be terribly uncomfortable, if not just totally disgusting. Well, I happen to love the professional sales process and I love teaching those skills to others who need them to be able to run their business profitably. Have you ever taken one of those personality assessments? Mine? I've done a bunch of them and mine always seem to show that I'm somebody who enjoys and, in fact, gets their whole energy from helping other people. So as a teacher and a trainer, I get to do just that and I get to share what I've learned over the past decades of teaching business owners how to increase sales and have more time to enjoy it teaching business owners how to increase sales and have more time to enjoy it.

When I retired from the corporate world, I started my own business and I found that there are many people out there that can benefit from learning professional sales and professional business concepts.
