Hi Morris Sims here. Sales. You know, for some people sales just comes easy, and you know, you look at them and you watch and you think, gee, no matter what, they just always seem to find ways to make more sales than anybody else. I don't know how or why, it just happens right. But then there are other folks like me who have to work at it and we fail a lot before we figure it all out.
Speaker 1:I can remember trying really hard to make it. As a salesperson. I thought I was the one who would have trouble selling ice water in the desert, and I probably would. But I really thought at the time that you know you're either born with it or you're not. And if you're not, then well, you know that's the way it goes. And if you're, okay but not great again. That's just kind of the way it was. If you don't like it, you better go find something else to do. Well, the problem for me was that sales was the only way I thought I could provide what I wanted for my family.
Speaker 1:Growing up we lived in a one-bedroom apartment until we started moving on up and we got to a two-bedroom apartment. We moved to a better part of town with my uncle's help and now we had two bedrooms and a swimming pool in the apartment complex. Boy, we were uptown. I decided that my kids were going to live in a house. They're going to live in a house, with swings in the backyard and a room that they could call their very own for each of them. Sales was going to be my way to do that for them.
Speaker 1:I've spent years okay decades really in Okay decades, really. Let's start now In the corporate world, teaching business owners how to increase their revenue and use professional sales processes and run their business more effectively and efficiently. What I learned was this I started my own consulting and trading business about seven years ago, I guess, and I'm helping my clients do just exactly that. I'm guessing, I'm helping my clients do just exactly that. Once I believed I really increased their revenue and I was open to trying what was being taught. But I got to tell you I'm having more fun than ever. Things really turned around. I began to sell. Things turned around good, I was able to pay off. I did some really great things and that's when they came and asked me to come over here. So I started doing that and did that for the next 30 some odd years. I see what's going on for many folks out there. They're going through the same challenge in sales that I was, and providing this course that we're working on is hopefully going to help you or the folks that are struggling out there as much as it helped me when it was my time.
